I bring more than 25 years of experience in both Canada and the U.S., across multiple departments and at every rank. I’ve commanded scenes, led people, built teams, did the hard work and made the hard changes when necessary. Mostly, I’ve championed people all along the way. Through all of this I’ve learned that performance rides on character, culture, and clarity.

Fire Edge started as informal coaching and grew into mentoring. Eventually, operational, hiring process and cultural issues in the fire service became more apparent to me, notably failures of character at both the individual and organizational level. So I realized that much more was needed.

Through multiple collaborations, self-education, extensive committee work, and lots and lots of trial-and-error, I now deliver to both fire departments and organizations seeking
